Time Mastery

Problem ............................................................

Did you know?

Whether you are an employee or an entrepreneur one commonality is lack of time. We pull all-nighters ...we run into fire drills that need to be put out. Why in this modern age we are still working long hours? In the early 1900s during war time, there were a lot of manufacturing jobs that fueled the economy, and people worked 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on average.

So times have changed why haven't our work hours changed? As employees or entrepreneurs we put in 14-16 hour days thinking we get more done, when the truth is sometimes we end up doing mediocre work as a result. Most people tend to have very little energy by late afternoon. The reason time mastery is important it gives you more time in your day. It gives you the time to connect with new people in order to grow in a natural exponential way; the time to experience new things as a regular occurrence. To put more ROH into your life. Basically when you grow, you have more to offer others and greater reasons for people to want to connect with you. This is done by creating space in your day by mastering time.

Less is the new MORE...but how is this achieved?

Time Mastery is about doing less. Huh? Strange isn't it? Our strategies are not about typical time management skills. We are about having you think holistically about everything. Your mind-set has to shift from checking off every item on your ToDo list in order to feel great about your day. Technology and modernization is killing us. Fast food is used to save time, but we spend more time gossiping, watching TV, Facebook posts, etc. Where does real living begin; our core genius and ability to improve us has become lost in the 21st Century. Our soft skills are gone because they are not taught and forced on us. We spend too much time hiding behind our computers while the human race is crashing. How do we ever begin to have a balanced lifestyle?

ISI's focus is to help you and organizations to learn about the importance of having the right people in your life that will push you beyond your self limitations. We want to help people find more time in their day to live extraordinary lives through more social interactions- to be with their spouse more, hold their child more, create regular family reunions.

ISI is examining how companies can improve with how their teams function day to day; we help companies spread the word of the importance of soft skills and forming small communities where information and support to succeed is shared.

............................................................ Solution

Time is life; so don’t you want more of it?

We have a very simple approach. We examine how you start your day and how you finish your day. If you have your WHY defined, then your swim lane has created for you and the tasks you do in the day should be in your swim lane.
Having your WHY defined will help to hold you accountable and keep you aligned, but having peer-peer support is an added insurance policy which we cover in the Power Tribe program.

Here are some of the concepts we teach and believe in:

Knowing your purpose and having that drive your day is essential in filtering out activities that do not provide a high return.

1. Clarity

Need to define the purpose behind your activities. Define WHY you want more time in your day. What are your end goals? The energy and focus to drive your actions comes from being clear about why you want more time.

2. Goal, Milestone, Task Definition

Define the right goals, tasks, and milestones to support your WHY.

3. Strategies - Process Thinking, Organizing and Prioritizing

Define the steps needed to achieve the goals.

  • Eat That Frog - Rethink steps- define action items that cause you to feel ill.
  • Twenty-Eighty it! - Reduce the time frame needed to achieve your goals by half.
  • Best Practices - Research and discover other approaches.

4. Human Element

Ask your peers to review your plan and offer suggestions on how to improve upon it. You need to be challenged by others in order to reach the finish line.

Notes:

Time Mapping is usually the first thing we have everyone do. You can not streamline your approach unless you know where you spend your time. You want to always keep track of how long it takes you to do various activities and document the steps you took so you can improve upon them.
